WASHINGTON, D.C. – A bill proposed by Rep. Earl L. “Buddy” Carter (R-GA) to rename a VA clinic in Hinesville, Georgia, after local heroes who sacrificed their lives in the Vietnam War has successfully passed the Senate and is now awaiting President Biden's approval.The bill, known as H.R. 593, seeks to rename the Department of Veterans Affairs community-based outpatient clinic in Hinesville as the "John Gibson, Dan James, William Sapp, and Frankie Smiley VA Clinic," in honor of the four Liberty County heroes.
