12 coaches at institution in Lumpkin County earned $67,790 on average in 2022

Lumpkin County’s 12 coaches earned an average salary of $67,790 in 2022, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

This is the seventh highest average salary per county earned by coaches at Georgia post-secondary schools during 2022.

Lumpkin County is home to just one post-secondary school which paid coaches during 2022.

Male coaches of men's teams received $72,420 on average in Lumpkin County, while female coaches in charge of women's teams earned an average of $66,935.

Research from the Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management found NCAA coaches are compensated like CEOs, with top coaches earning more than $1.5 million annually.
